Laughter curve

The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board produces an hilariously inept attempt to “prove” that tax cuts increase tax revenue. Just how dumb do they think we are?

Uh Tax Cuts do Increase Tax Revenue if they don’t how do you Explain the Record amount a revenue coming in?

The way that Tax cuts increase revenue is by putting more money in the market for investment thus increasing revenue for Business wich increases the amount Business pays in Taxes it works everytime it’s tried

The point is the exceptionally dishonest way in which the regression was plotted. It doesn’t even pretend match the data; and the author would have received an F in an undergraduate statistics class for the effort.

And also, Norway’s corporate tax rate is apparently 52% instead of 28%, in which case Norway is not even the outlier that can be used to draw a Laffer curve, but right in line with a linear regression through all the other data points.
